History
Manchester High School located in Mandeville, Jamaica W.I. was established in 1855 from funding made available by the Vere Trust. In 1856, the first Trustees were appointed and the school was open at premises (the former location of old Manchester Public Library) adjacent to the Parish Church in Mandeville, the property was acquired and a school building was erected in 1861. Up to 1921 only boys attended the school at the above location, the girls campus was located in a separate building. The present site at Perth Road was acquired from the Anglican Church.
